white linen towel
love to store linen towels with sprigs of lavender...pots of lavender have been a symbol of cleanliness for centuries...in the 17th century in england, innkeepers would put a pot of lavender in the window to show that it was a "good house" with clean linens...photograph by lilo raymond

Lavender comes from the Latin "lavare", which means "to wash." The smell of true lavender never gets old. So happy that you have a blog, Ms. Foley. I tore out pictures of your house from magazines years ago and they still represent my ideal home. :)
